Donna Downey
Donna Downey is a bestselling author, instructor and all-around creative force in the crafting industry. In 2000, she got into scrapbooking as an extension of her paper product and photography addiction. This was only the beginning. From working as a popular columnist for Simple Scrapbooks magazine, to traveling the world inspiring women to push the boundaries of their own creativity, to developing her first fabric scrapbooking line with Prima due out in the Spring of ‘09, Donna is consistently on the leading edge of all things cool related to memory preservation art.
As a craft-media artist, Donna is a born experimenter, blending and transforming both traditional and unexpected items into meaningful pieces of self expression. A former elementary school teacher, she has synthesized her first love of teaching with her passion for craft and brings this to women via workshops at scrapbook stores and events, writing books, and through her popular blog and website, www.donnadowney.com.
Donna lives in North Carolina with her husband, and is a mother of three exceptionally blonde children, and one blonde dog.
Lindi Stevenson
Lindi
has called Richmond, Virginia home for the majority of the last 25
years, where she lives in a small but homey cottage with her longtime
husband, three discerning children, her rather mature Lab-mation,
Tipper, and dispassionate feline, Tootsie. Having attended both Florida
State University and Virginia Tech studying art, she has worked in a
variety of fields
from TV news photography to watercolor reproductions
to space design with many others in between. Exploring paint, collage,
fabric, ceramics, printing and bookmaking, Lindi has been creating
handmade gifts and teaching since she can remember. Art journaling is
her latest passion and a perfect extension for her mixed media style.
Despite years of art school, she is finding ways to overcome her inner
critic and to use familiar materials with a new found joy. Sharing the
expressive freedom art provides is what drives her workshops. She likes
to get messy, try new techniques and HAVE FUN. She has learned when
you let yourself create without worrying or even knowing about the end
result - magic happens. When not in her studio, Lindi can usually be
found cooking, teaching, gardening or relaxing somewhere near or on a
large body of water.

Mary Grissim
Mary
grew up in Florida and attended Florida State University, where she met
her freshman roommate, Lindi (Ascoli) Stevenson. This is significant
because some 30 years later they are embarking on a journey to create
and share art with others, by working together to create the Snowy
Mountain Art Retreat at the Vee Bar in September 2012.
Mary worked in the art community of Nashville, TN for over 20 years. She
started her art career as a craft artist making baskets and paper from
natural materials. Bookmaking has always been a fascination and seemed
to be the next challenge in the fiber arts world for her. She has been
teaching workshops for over 20 years in fiber arts. Mary had the
pleasure of working for the Cheekwood Botanical Garden and Museum of Art
as Director of Education for ten years. Now her passion is to find ways
to turn people on to art who thought they weren’t artistic. Mary splits
her time between the Snowy Range area of Wyoming, St. Petersburg,
Florida and Nashville, TN.

Bob Cook
Bob Cook grew up in Laramie, Wyoming and attended the University of Wyoming where he majored in art. Bob has worked in bronze, cast silver jewelry, painting, rustic furniture making and elk and deer antler products. Bob is a self taught stained glass artist and got interested in the craft in 1999 along with his sister Carol. His work has been collected by countless individuals as well as many businesses in the Centennial/Laramie area. Bob lives in Centennial, Wyoming where he is a colorful part of the local culture.

Dona Fleming
Dona
Fleming is a studio artist living in Laramie WY. Her work, primarily in
fibers, also embraces mixed media, and installation pieces. Dona’s
current work focus is the making of “Art Cloth”, dying, painting,
printing, marking, stitching, embellishing, and other surface design
techniques. The “Art Cloth” is then presented hanging, in a tapestry
manner, or constructed in sculptural forms. Since 1990, Dona has taught a
variety of workshops nationally and in Ireland. Her focus is process,
encouraging the student to expand their own creative expression. Her
philosophy: “Look, listen to the work, follow the work. Every mark is a
good mark. Every ‘mistake’ is a creative opportunity”. Dona’s exhibit

Museum, in Great Britain, and other exhibits of note nationally and
internationally. Publications include: Fiberarts Magazine, Fiber Art
Design: Books Four and Five, Quilt National: Contemporary Designs in

William Paul Proctor
William Paul Proctor was raised in Columbus, Georgia, and has lived in Nashville, Tennessee since 1972. Paul graduated from Lipscomb University with a major in fine arts. He began painting professionally 25 years ago, and for the last 15 years has taught privately and at Cheekwood Museum of Art in Nashville, TN. Paul’s work hangs in private and corporate collections across the country and Europe.
“My two passions are painting and teaching, and I am very excited about doing both in the beauty of Wyoming. Nothing is better for honing your skill than working in changing, natural light. You will learn to see past the clutter of the details, and discover the “bone structure” of the landscape”. Paul Proctor
