Seeking a unique creative experience? Snowy Mountain Art Workshops offers a series of classes taught by an amazing group of artists in two very different locations: Our western home in The Snowy Range Mountains of Wyoming and in our beautiful southern home in Tennessee. Far away from the day to day grind, tap into the profound creative force experienced in our workshops. We present local and guest artists from a variety of locations, backgrounds and experience in a creative learning environment that is the ideal break from "normal". Our artists are skilled professional instructors who understand the Snowy Mountain Art Workshops philosophy of embracing the creative process not just the result - encouraging a relaxed atmosphere for both beginners as well as seasoned artists to work at an individual level while learning from each other and growing at their own pace. Snowy Mountain is designed to provide a setting where you can experiment with confidence and appreciate the joy in art we have all experienced.
Our workshop events are wonderful opportunities to discover new creative friends and connect with other artists seeking the same uncommon artistic experience in an exceptionally beautiful natural environment.
I had such a great time teaching the bookmaking and basket classes in Nashville this fall! The Snowy Mountain Art Retreat will be held September 9 -14, 2012 at the beautiful VeeBar Guest Ranch near Laramie, Wyoming. We are excited to announce that this year our featured guest artist will be Donna Downey offering Pan Pastel classes! In addition to workshops by Donna, discover an eclectic mix of fiber arts and mixed media classes including basket making, encaustics and art journals by artists Mary Grissim and Lindi Stevenson along with lots of cowboy inspired fun on the ranch.
All art activities, supplies, lodging, meals and yoga are included as well as the epic skies and campfire magic. All you have to do is pack your bag and be ready to experience an amazing western creative adventure in the High Plains of Wyoming!
